We do not need all factual information. What was so enjoyable to read were the experiences of ordinary people, clips about well known personalities, smattering of business insight and first rate up to date condensed medical updates. Please go back to the old format that has been so successful througout these many years. It is certainly disappointing to open up a treasured magazine and there is so much nothing on the pages and is so boring. 1.0

I love the wide variety of stories that are found in the magazine; anything from comedy to heroic stories that motivate you to be a better person. My parents used to keep the Reader's Digest from each month, and they seemed timeless and didn't really age. I could pick up a copy from 2 years ago and the content was still enjoyable to read. I've always enjoyed Reader's Digest. I just started another year subscription and am getting a subscription for my Dad for Father's Day. 5.0

They pull their articles and tips (health, money, etc) from all over the world and from small town papers to the biggies- so lots of coverage and something for everyone. My favorites are the real life stories which usually involve great tragedy followed by amazing triumph. I also really enjoy the humor (Life in these United States and Laughter in Uniform) and every so often (in every issue) they'll add in a segment of more humor as well as brain teasers. I've never met anyone that hasn't picked up a copy (even the ancient ones in doctor's offices are good reads) and enjoyed it- This is a great gift for anyone -I especially think it's great for folks in their mid to late 20's on up...Makes an awesome gift but make sure to buy yourself a subscription as well! 5.0

The wide variety of subjects addressed makes it of interest on many levels. Much of the material is written from a human interest point of view or with a personal slant. There were articles related to both national and international news, the national news giving opinions of Senators McCain and Biden on the situation in Iraq and the international news describing the response by American physicians to the earthquake in Pakistan. I enjoyed the word games and humor, the travel advice and health-related articles, and also the consumer news. All in all, I found it a magazine that succeeded in catching my interest and making me look forward to the coming issues. 4.0

Readers Digest is entertaining while informative. This magazine is great to take with you to fill in those "few minutes" that you must wait at a doctor’s office, or for a bus ride. Reader's Digest takes a while to get through, which for me is very nice. Some magazines I can get from cover to cover in less than a half hour only because there are more advertisements than good stories. Not so with Reader's Digest. Every page is worth reading.
