Well after reading over the first issue, I can't wait for the next month’s and have even sent a subscription to my son. If you love America, nostalgia and interesting articles and photos of things American present, past and future then this is the magazine subscription for you. Being a baby boomer myself, the issue dedicated to baby boomers was like opening a family album to the past and brought back many happy memories. For those who are younger, seeing and reading about your country whether from another time or now, you will still get an eye and earful. I highly recommend this magazine and the fact that it only comes bi-monthly, gives everyone plenty of time to read it from beginning to end. 5.0

While political and other typical subjects you remember from high school history are covered, it also covers cultural subjects. The articles cover every aspect of America history in the most interesting way, by talking about one thing at a time. In an article about, say, the rebuilding of a particular city after a war or natural disaster, you get this fascinating glimpse into the daily lives of people at that time, plus pieces of the overall historical context of the event. I've learned so much about the history of our country this way. I was interested in certain periods and events, but, like most people, there were other topics that just bored me to tears. There have been articles in the magazine that were so intriguing, addressing that one small aspect, that I got a lot of information about something I didn't think I was interested in. It's all relevant today in one way or another, and it's not all "ancient" history, either. I just read an article about a detailed model of the world trade center by the original architectural team. It was restored in D.C. and displayed in the NYC skyscraper museum. Anyway, there is nothing boring or dry about the history in this magazine. It's all alive and fascinating! 5.0
