The articles are all very well written and the pictures are high quality and visually illustrate the text. I especially find the "Trade Secrets" article useful on the back cover each month. Even the ads contained within the magazine are fun to read and browse through. A very well crafted magazine which I highly recommend to anyone interested in home construction, design, and remodeling.

It provides a variety of articles pertaining to tools, construction tips, how-to articles, new materials, building trends, material and tool comparisions and more. Beautifully illustrated, succinctly written. I learn at least a half dozen things from each issue. It is THE ONE magazine that I read every month from cover to cover without fail. It is the one magazine you will never lend out, because the information is just that valuable. You will refer to an issue over and over. Like any of the Taunton Press publications, it sets the standard for its category. If you don't subscribe to it ya gotta be crazy! 5.0

I think that this magazine is a must for the home builder as well as the homeowner. Articles on building material, repairs around the house and projects such as building your own cabinets are so descriptive that even an amateur like me can undertake these projects without feeling overwhelmed. I look forward to every new issue in order to see which projects I can do next. 5.0

From the Reader Letters that offer helpful tips supporting articles from recent issues to the Builder's Mart section in the back that provide clear resources and contacts on materials this target market would be interested in.
The featured articles are written with the intention to clearly and easily communicate 'how to' projects. I'm thankful the writers don't try to impress the reader with verbose language while also managing to keep the reader engaged and interested.
Great pictures and descriptive, detailed drawings add inspiration and support for the reader to want to replicate the given project.
These are not 'cutesy, crafty, throw-together projects' but rather quality projects through workmanship and attention to detail. Having said that, all the projects are presented in a way that effectively communicate to the reader that they are fully achievable.
