Submitted By: Melinda Mabray: Sunset Magazine is a terrific regional magazine which focuses on life in the West. It covers gardening, home design and decorating, food and wine, and travel. I especially like the travel and food/entertaining articles. Sunset is also unique in that it publishes 5 regional editions so the content of the magazine is geared to where you live. Suggestions for hikes, cultural events, etc. are all in your own community and surrounding areas.

Submitted By: amanda stoermer: Sunset Magazine is a must for anyone who lives or wants to live in the west. What is my favorite section??? Could it be the travel section which is so helpful when you want to plan a vacation? Or the home remodeling ideas? I think it is the food/recipes section which alone is worth the price of the subscription. I have been reading this magazine for 20 years and still look forward to it every month!

Submitted By: Scott Palfreyman: I am in the Air Force and started reading Sunset Magazine before I moved to Utah. The magazine has a lot of helpful information to travel destinations, restaurants, and an event calendar. My family and I get excited every month for the next issue to plan our next family adventure together. I would recommend this magazine to anyone.

Submitted By: Ray Benson: Sunset Magazine is our favorite magazine and is the one magazine we've subscribed to consistently for many years. We have benefited from every feature department, but mostly from food and travel. We are planning an extensive road trip right now, and wouldn't you know, the last two issues of Sunset had articles on exactly where we're going. There were many helpful tips and information we hadn't found elsewhere. We
are fired up and ready to go!

Submitted By: J. Piekar: We gave up Sunset Magazine when we moved for a stint in Washington DC. What we found was that Sunset was one of those magazines that should be considered a staple in one's magazine repertoire. We thought this was a regional magazine, and although it does dedicate itself to many articles in and on the western region of the US, it still is a wonderful source of travel information for the East Coast Snowbirds who long for warmer weather or a change of scenery. The food section is universal, as is much of the home section. Many of the planting guides lists the proper planting zones which enables us when we were on the East Coast to take advantage of plantings they did not regularly see. Now that we are back in the west, we would not let a month go by without viewing Sunset.

Submitted By: Jennifer Peters: Sunset is one of those magazines I just can't live without. My 3 biggest interests are covered every month. Travel, Home & Garden, and Food! I have been urging my husband to read, knowing he would love it too -- which he finally did -- tearing out pages for me to make sure to read! Another fan!

There is always something in there that I will use to base a future project on. The travel ideas are another feature that makes it worth opening up. Beautiful pictures and informative articles can be found in every issue.

Submitted By: Lisa Gasser: I currently live in the Northeast but I am a California girl. A couple of years ago my sister-n-law bought me a subscription to Sunset Magazine because she knows how homesick I am for California. I love getting Sunset Magazine because it makes me feel connected to "home". I love the gardening and recipe tips and vacation getaway information. I can't wait to get back to California!!

Submitted By: Jessica Rivers: As an East Coast transplant to the San Francisco Bay area, I have had a long-term love affair with all things "west coast". The food, landscapes, electric mix of architecture, and the abundance of options to explore the region; Sunset Magazine offers me something new to explore and enjoy every month. I love Sunset Magazine! I eagerly await each issue as it offers me always new and unexpected ways to explore my adopted home!

Submitted By: Nathan Taylor: I love Sunset Magazine! It is one of my favorite magazines. The monthly gardening advice is really useful and it gets me ready for the gardening season. I also really like the regional spotlights. We have moved to Utah and it is really nice to have reviews of places that we could visit. Also the recipes are Devine. Last year there was a string of recipes with blueberries. We tried out the blueberry pancakes. They were heavenly. Sunset Magazine is one of the best magazines out there in my opinion.

Submitted By: Sharon Wiley: We have found Sunset Magazine to offer practical and useful tips on cooking, gardening and home improvement. For instance, we have learned to "ice" onions. This trick has saved us lots of money by enabling us to use less expensive onions and sweeten them by icing. This step also cuts the bitterness out of sweet onions. We look forward to the article featuring the Sunset House of the Year. We enjoy reviewing the new ideas in home building. And the best part is having gardening tips that are applicable to our climate.

The magazine is specially made for the West, but the publisher includes articles for the state or metropolitan area you live closest to.
