SCHOLASTIC PARENT AND CHILD MAGAZINE GAVE ME SO MANY IDEAS FOR BOTH, EDUCATIONAL AND FUN THINGS TO DO. WHAT IS REALLY GREAT IS WHEN YOU CAN FIND WAYS FOR CHILDREN TO HAVE FUN AND LEARN AT THE SAME TIME. SOMETIMES A LEARNING ACTIVITY IS APPRECIATED JUST ABOUT AS MUCH AS EATING A GOOD VEGETABLE. IF AN ACTIVITY CAN BE MADE AS MUCH FUN AS A VEGIE CAN BE CHANGED BY COOKING CERTAIN WAYS, YOU CAN SAY YOU FOUND THE ANSWER BOREDOM. THIS MAGAZINE OFFERS YOU WAY TO DO JUST THAT.

I first found Scholastic Parent and Child Magazine in a doctor's office, and liked it so much I wrote down the name and went home and ordered it! There are a lot of parent/child magazines out there. I do read those too, but found the most useful information in Parent & Child by Scholastic. It teaches you and gives you ways to apply knowledgeable things you have read and stay "involved". This is great for parents of toddlers and older. My daughter’s day care also subscribes to this for the parents. This is my favorite parent/child magazine!

It has activities divided by age groups, with a focus on early learners, ages 2-5, that guide parents in the teaching of beginning math and language skills. This magazine also includes expert advice on timely educational topics that affect parents and children, such as autism or learning disabilities. As a parent and teacher, I highly recommend this magazine for parents of toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarten students. It is not limited to any specific age group within this range, and has great ideas for specific projects you can do with your child. It also contains articles that are informative and up to date.
