I am a 54 year old disabled male who has worked for the last 30years in construction having been injured and disabled for the last two years I have had to find some sort of outlet, I have that in the form of my home PC, having tinkered a bit I like to build and put things together, be it a shed or in this case learning how to build my own computer I have learned more in 6month's here at home with Maximum PC than if I would have been in a classroom, which by the way is impossible for me in my case, having said that the articles in Maximum PC are very helpful and do not leave you wondering or scratching your head afterwards, it has been very helpful I have upgraded my HP better than the day I purchased it, I am confident to the point that I can build my own PC in the future with everything that I want in it. Six months ago I did not know the difference between a PCI or PCI-E slot for a graphics card and a sound card, a memory upgrade or a Pentium Chip or AMD Dual core or anything else pertaining to a computer so yes Maximum PC has been very helpful and I hope to continue my subscription with Maximum PC. Thank you for this opportunity to express my feelings towards Maximum PC I would recommend it to anyone but I feel it has already beaten me to that, keep up the great work. 5.0

The magazine features no bull reviews of both hardware and software related to the PC, Mainly focusing on cutting edge technology that is becoming available to the PC power user.
Their tests are fair and consistent. And they don't mind giving a product a bad review even if the makers of the product have an advertisement in the same issue.
They also include an Ask the Doctor section where they answer user emails about computer problems they are having.
I have been through many PC magazines and this is the best one for me. I highly recommend giving this one a read. 5.0

They give you the good, the bad, and the ugly, in a humorous and interesting format. That's why this mag has become my favorite computer-related magazine.

It would take to long to download via dialup internet. I love this magazine; it has a lot of information for the novice and expert computer person.
