I'm relatively new to digital photography and wanted more information on processing, composition and just some more general knowledge. Out of the 3 magazines this is the one I read over and over and the other 2 aren't bad either. Yep this choice is proof that a blind squirrel can find an acorn as I had never read any of these magazines before and while I like all 3 this is the one I'm glad I got.

American Photo Magazine is unquestionably the best “reasonably priced” photo magazine on the market. By providing in depth technical information, photographic theory, and stories; there is something to be learned whether amateur or professional.

There are many photography magazines to choose from. Some for beginners, some more technical, but, if you need a magazine that covers art, equipment and is geared to photographers with some skill, read American Photo. I still have the May/June 1994 issue on the future of photography. It was an excellent crystal ball introducing the world of digital photography and I still read it often. It was interesting, the predictions were amazing, and more accurate than anyone at that time could have believed. I will always read American Photo magazine.

American Photo Magazine has to be one of the top 2 magazines for all of your needs. It doesn’t matter if you are a professional photographer or just buying your 1st camera. It has excellent information on the how to's. When you read through this magazine you will see pictures of some amazing shots and wonder how it was done. Are you looking to buy new equipment? American Photo has it all. I use a lot of different lenses, filters, and cameras since I like what some cameras will do that the others won’t. Since the new era of digital SLR's have came out and you can put a memory card and take over 1400 pictures with out having to worry about taking them in or losing a roll in to find out that there's not a picture that came out . I use my laptop and camera everyday and the innovation of that has tripled my production. I can distort or improve my picture with the use of on the spot photo imaging. American Photo Magazine is great.
