[BACKPACKER MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTION] - Featured review submitted by: William Regiani: While geared to the more experienced hiker, beginners will also find a lot to like about Backpacker Magazine. Every issue is packed with tips and the gear reviews are excellent. Every issue contains a series of tear out cards with information about a different hike or park including driving directions and GPS coordinates. Overall I would say this magazine is a must for anyone interested in hiking.

Backpacker magazine is the leading publication for avid hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. The fact that they tailor the magazine to different regions of the country is very important to me. From the feature articles down to the tips and tricks section, I thoroughly enjoy this magazine every time I find it in my mailbox.

Backpacker Magazine is great! I've had subscriptions to it in the past and certainly missed it when my subscription ran out! The articles cover everything any hiker needs to know! From beginners info to advanced trails and gear, the magazine has it all! Enjoy the pictures, articles, advice, and hikes!

I love the outdoors and spend time hiking, biking, and camping all across the US. Backpacker Magazine writes about parks, hikes, gear, and lots more to get you started on your favorite or new adventure. I cut out the hiking cards in the back and arrange by states so when I travel to a state I just pull out the card and go. This is my favorite magazine.

Backpacker magazine is the Backpacker's bible. It's loaded with outdoor tips, gear reviews, and interesting articles covering every aspect of backpacking. It's also an excellent resource for trail maps and topography information. This magazine is a must read for the backpacking or hiking enthusiast.

A friend loaned me a couple of old copies of Backpacker Magazine for my wife, who is currently training to climb Mt. Whitney this month. The issues were chock full of useful information regarding lightweight backpacking gear along with numerous articles relating to her current endeavor. She was very taken with the publications, so for our 17th Anniversary I purchased her a 2 yr. subscription to Backpacker. Needless to say, we both enjoyed the loaner magazines and look forward to receiving the new subscription!

As a beginner Backpacker, Backpacker magazine has been great in helping me decide what gear to purchase. In my experiences thus far, I've found the equipment to be very reliable and well worth the cost. I was very excited when their Gear Review came out and now I have an extensive wish list.

Steve Friedman's article "The Last Mountain Man" was about my brother, Skip Conrad. I learned so much about my brother and his enviormentalist life. I miss Skip so much at this time of the year. He loved the cold and the snow and the first Christmas Card I always got was from him. Thank you Steve for the education into his simple but complex life.

Backpacker Magazine is a great magazine. I would get it for the gear reviews alone! Anyone who does any camping during the year should get this magazine. I already have some fun things planned this summer thanks to past issues. One of the best overall outdoor magazines there is!

Backpacker Magazine is the standard for anyone interested in backpacking, hiking and related outdoor adventures. It is worth it just for the product reviews alone, but coupled with the travel suggestions, how-to's, and hidden treasures in hiking ideas, it is the only magazine you would need.

I love my Backpacker Magazine; it is one of the most informative backpacking magazines out there. They have great reviews on gear and trails, and offer insight on how to prepare yourself for your next big adventure. I highly recommend Backpacker Magazine!

My experience with backpacking is pretty limited, so I was looking for a resource to recommend gear, techniques and places to go. Backpacker Magazine is that resource. I find the articles to be well written, and informative to entertaining. The article in a recent copy entitled, "How to ruin a perfectly good marriage" hit home as I am currently trying to get my wife more active in the sport. Some of the articles are written for people with far more experience than I have, or with far more time to devote to the activity (yo-yoing the Pacific Trail), but they still provide useful information and give me ideas of what I want to do when I have time. I have renewed my subscription, and look forward to reading many more editions in the year to come. Keep them coming!

Backpacker magazine is great for any outdoor enthusiast. The magazine enlightens the reader each month about great trails to hike, what food to bring along, etc. Need information about a product? Backpacker reviews the latest in equipment. The reviews are believable because the magazine puts each item through real world testing. One can also enjoy the articles submitted by outdoor adventurers. My favorite part of the magazine is the beautiful pictures filling the magazine each month. Do yourself a favor and buy this magazine.

Backpacker magazine has always been one of my favorites. The articles are always informative and enlightening. Even with having a love for the outdoors it takes motivational reading to get you out of the armchair and onto the trail. My favorite issue is always the yearly gear guide. Here they test and rate all the latest backpacking equipment which I find essential in getting the most for my money when I replace worn out equipment.

Backpacker magazine has been a great resource for me. I run a local outdoors club and I get great ideas for places to go hiking. My wife and I love to camp and have found some great places to try by reading Backpacker. The gear reviews though are probably the most important of the magazine for me, especially the annual Gear Guide.

Backpacker Magazine always tests the latest gear and rates it to let you know what the best gear to buy is. Every month they feature new hikes with pictures and directions. I find some backpacking trips in my area that I never knew about. Also they have started to come out with regional editions so that the trips are more relevant.

Backpacker magazine is the quintessential guide for the avid hiker, Backpacker, and to a limited extent mountaineer and climber. Issues are region specific, so each month you will get information about great hikes that have been recently traversed, and the data on how to access and enjoy them yourself.

For any outdoor enthusiast, Backpacker Magazine still stays true to what avid hikers, Backpackers, and campers like. Unlike other Outside magazines that have turned into People magazine of the Outdoors, Backpacker supplies you with information on hikes, campsites, daytrips, interesting people and their stories. Complete with little credit card size GPS maps on individual hikes across the US, backpacking and camping recipes, along with wonderful photos of the beautiful outdoors Backpacker is the only magazine for people that fully appreciate what nature can give us.

The trip reports really tell you everything you need to know to plan your next trip, from lodging, food, must-see places and side trips, to GPS waypoints so you can come back too! I have enjoyed reading Backpacker Magazine for quite some time now. It has not only been fun to read, but it has also been very informative. It is filled with safety tips and survival techniques, to trail etiquette. I have also enjoyed the yearly gear guides. If you love backpacking you will love Backpacker magazine. In my opinion, it is the best outdoors magazine in circulation. One of my favorite features is the gear review section. They review the new gear that comes out and give you details about the people who reviewed it. If you're tall, you can pay more attention to the tall reviewer. If you're heavyset, you can pay attention to the heavyset reviewer. I just renewed my subscription. It's the best!
