Compared to Sailing World (primary focus is racing) and Sail magazine (an even 50/50 split between racing and cruising), Cruising World is about 80% cruising, and the 20% of racing is for those of us cruisers who enjoy racing offshore or in the harbor in the cruiser/racer classes. Great magazine!

There is a section called "Hands on Sailor" that gives advice on boat maintenance, sailing techniques and other useful information about owning and operating your own boat. This is a great magazine for the beginner or the experienced boatman. 5.0
