I see the expensive fly-into-the exotic-boondocks trips but I also see the hot spots that I can afford. I see the high-priced status fishing gear but also what really works. The magazine is not a slave to the Yuppie Orvis culture but provides very high level information for the serious fisherman. I am also impressed by the thoughtful news and analysis on the threats to our trout streams. I recommend it highly.

Fly Rod & Reel magazine is a must for the avid angler. It is a wonderfully written magazine with a lot of insights into the profession and recreation of fly-fishing.
