I see the expensive fly-into-the exotic-boondocks trips but I also see the hot spots that I can afford. I see the high-priced status fishing gear but also what really works. The magazine is not a slave to the Yuppie Orvis culture but provides very high level information for the serious fisherman. I am also impressed by the thoughtful news and analysis on the threats to our trout streams. I recommend it highly.

Fly Rod & Reel Magazine is an incredible magazine for the serious fisherman or someone who is just getting interested in Fly Fishing. It offers great tips on where the hot spots for fly fishing can be found throughout the United States. I have learned a lot from Fly Rod & Reel and look forward to reading it every month!
