Entrepreneur Magazine (EM) is toted as a comprehensive magazine for people who want to be kept current on things that relate to someone who wants to become a small business owner (SBO), someone who needs help starting a business or a SBO who wants to find ways to help their business grow. While it's packed with useful articles that will help someone looking to break the nine to five cycle, it's not truly a start-up guide, and one reading it shouldn't expect it to be that way. More than anything else, EM is geared toward the tech savvy and computer literate. A good portion of the magazine is also aimed at giving current business owners ideas on how to improve their websites. Articles generally focus on the latest and greatest in communications, web design, wi-fi technology, VOIP and the like. If you have an aversion to technology and the information age, this magazine is not for you. You will be completely lost in a sea of acronyms and techie industry logo. If you are however, the proprietor of an on-line business, or your business relies on a website to attract or retain customers, you'll be in hog heaven. Overall, EM is very heavily focused on the future of technology and how it impacts your business. There's little bare-bones information for the person who just wants to open a mom and pop candy store and little else.
